Guru Paduka Pooja

In Hindu mythology Guru parampara or Lineage of Gurus begin with Sadhashiva who is Guru of Lord Vishnu inturn Lord Vishnu is Guru of Sadashiva.  In this Margashirsha month both Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna are worshipped. Lord Krishna is called Krishnam Vandhe Jagatgurum as he continued Guru shishya relationship.

Importance of Guru Paduka

 Swami Dattatreya continued Guru parampara and first time he started worshipping Guru Paduka. Basing on Advaita Philosophy Adi Sankara charya established four Mathas in India and continued Guru parampara. He is named as Adi Guru.  Likewise Ramakrishna paramahamsa and Swamy Vivekananda carried Guru-shishya tradition.  In Margashirsha month Ayyappa mandala Deeksha is observed.  In this Deeksha Guru and disciple are one and same which means Thatvamasi. Both are called as Ayyappa Swamy.  Devotees touch the feet of Deeksha person and call him as Ayyappa swamy. Therefore worshipping Gurupaduka is most important and is practiced in Hindu religion.

In Plava namasamvatsaram Margashirsha Shukla Divitiya is known as Guru Paduka Siddhi Divas.  It starts on 25July 2025 from 9.28.A M  to 26th July, 5.55 A .M.   Every year it falls on same thithi. It is prominent to note Guru Paduka is worshipped only in this month.

What is Guru Paduka and pooja

and Dhanista and Mahardasa is 7 years.  Lord Kuja is exalted in Makara Rasi, Moola Trikonam in Mesha Rasi and debilitated in Karaka Rasi. The favourable things are red cloths, red flowers, Masoor daal,  Jaggery,   and  coral.  The element is earth and important day is Tuesday. It  represents South side. The Gender is male and friends are Ravi, Chandra & Guru and enemies are Rahu & Budha Graha. The other  Navagraha maintain neutral  relationship with Mangala Graha. In Astrology it represents relation with family a ruling planet for brothers. Based on position of Mangal graha in horoscope marriage and married life  is calculated.   The word Mangala means Auspicious success but in Astrology Mangal  is Kuja  a malefic graha.  Lord  Kuja  is born to Lord Vishnu and Bhudevi.  In other words Kuja is said to be Lord Kartikeya son of Lord Shiva born out of sweat of Lord Shiva.  Kuja Graha is worshipped as planet, serpent and also Kartikeya. It gives results of Ketu Graha.  He lives in Mangalalok.
