🪷 Life of Lord Krishna
The divine journey of the Supreme Protector and Guide of Dharma
🌟 Divine Birth
Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, was born in the prison of Mathura to Devaki and Vasudeva. The tyrant king Kansa, fearing a prophecy that Devaki’s son would destroy him, had imprisoned them and killed their earlier children.
On the night of Krishna’s birth, divine forces opened the prison doors, and Vasudeva carried the infant across the flooded Yamuna River to Gokul. There, Krishna was raised by Nanda and Yashoda, growing up as a beloved cowherd child.
🐄 Childhood in Vrindavan
Krishna’s childhood was filled with miracles and playful charm. He defeated many demons sent by Kansa, including Putana and Trinavarta. His mischievous acts — stealing butter, playing the flute, and dancing with the gopis — made him the heart of Vrindavan.
One of his greatest feats was subduing the serpent Kaliya and lifting Govardhan Hill to protect villagers from torrential rains sent by Indra. These acts revealed his divine nature and boundless compassion.
👑 Slayer of Kansa
As Krishna grew older, he returned to Mathura and challenged Kansa. In a dramatic confrontation, he defeated the tyrant, freeing the kingdom from oppression and restoring rightful rule.
Later, Krishna established the city of Dwarka and became a wise king, diplomat, and protector of his people.
🕉️ Guide of the Pandavas
During the Mahabharata, Krishna served as Arjuna’s charioteer and spiritual guide. On the battlefield of Kurukshetra, he delivered the Bhagavad Gita — a timeless teaching on duty, devotion, and the path to liberation.
